Evening All, I just wondering what settings we all use on the AT Pro? I'm currently using it in the Pro mode but not sure what discrimination settings should be and what's best custom, coins or other?
Going out tomorrow morning so would like some advice to try out?
Thanks in advance.

Use zero mode and make sure you dig all mid range (foil) signals!
Very important on the AT.. dig the foil signals.
I learnt this to my cost.. I used to think (oh here's a foil signal) dig it.. and it was foil!
You absolutely must dig them though.
Missed many a hammered by thinking like that with the Pro.

Cheers, when you say mid range are these 30 to 50 signals?
I usually set my discrimination to 40 but recently seen gold can come in at 35ish.
I'm learning the targets now, are there any target charts for the AT Pro for UK detectorists I've only been to find American ones?

Hello SColv, Hopefully there's still time to obtain a couple of suggestions before your out the door as it were but if not your only option seems to be to read the user instructions, have a cup of tea, read them again making notes of how to address any optional operating changes you may like to carry out in the field and Bob's y'er uncle.
This was my practice when operating a new detector for the first time but that changed with the advent of the internet which now simplifies things, making it possible to download and study the handbook well in advance of the machine's arrival reducing the learning curve.
If I remember correctly, most users of the AT Pro seem to prefer using the Pro mode.
Good Luck and let us know how you get on

A disservice is no service at all.

Zero mode with no discrimination.. only turn up the discrimination to about 18 if the the ground is really noisy. Better to hear more than tune out for less if you get what I'm saying.
Hardly any discrimination in zero mode.. dig the mid tone foil signals and you will get results.![ThumbsUp [81/]](./images/smilies/81_EmoticonsHDcom.png)
