Another wedding ring plea – West Wittering

Post by Jit20 »

Hi all. My wedding band came off on the beach at the foot of a sand dune on West Wittering beach on Sunday 9th August and was instantly swallowed up by the amazingly fine sand. I didn’t even see where it landed.

We did search for it but with no luck and probably ended up digging it deeper. I have a genuine interest to get this back and would appreciate any help anyone is able to offer. I can see this is not an uncommon occurrence but reading the success stories has given me goose bumps and motivated me to appeal for help.

The ring is engraved and I can provide any additional information anyone needs. I have pictures of the vicinity in which the ring was lost, with the roof tops of the houses behind also providing a good reference point. I am more than willing to come down and assist where I can and to confirm the area in which it was dropped.

Thanks in advance and happy hunting, be it for this ring or not.

I know - this place seems to be claiming a lot. Thanks for your reply. I had previously seen your response to Ali and your involvement in helping someone find a ring previously. If you would be willing to offer the same as you did to Ali I would happily collect you and take you to the spot. I appreciate its complicated with the parking and the weather not looking too great at the moment. I am happy to work around you but will be tied to early evenings/weekends. I'm also away for a week from Sunday.

If your not able to help and anyone else is it would be great to hear from you.

Thanks
