Old or modern?

Found this yesterday. Quite intrigued by it. My first instinct is that it was worn by a rocker into heavy metal though, it feels much older... . There are remnants of a pin or attachment on the back. Any ideas?

As an ex-rocker into my heavy metal I can say that I have never worn anything like that.

Yes, sorry about the clunky language! I didn't want to lose people by being more generic specific (grunge, noise, death metal etc).

I honestly have no idea

its not batman, its not axe either, but is closer

when you compare a pound coin for sizing, its really small too

interesting, whats it made of?
