very deep machine ,only issue was the weight i had a massive coil aswell. it was a long time ago but i think it was 15". I had to get rid and get stock coil in end.
It excelled on the black sand aswell

Great Vid from a recently deceased legend. I was lucky enough to get a GT of Des's a few years ago, and this vid really helped me to come to terms with it. He'll never be forgotten with this clip up on the inter-web ! [81/]

I recently bought a GT, had it serviced and the depth mod, it's crazily deep now, wish my Nox was as deep. [81/]

Yes did the same, it's now got a wot coil and a strait shaft conversion. [81/]

Found my first roman coin with my mates sovereign GT + add on vdi meter & big coil,
The zippy multi tones were driving him mad & he wanted to use my XLT with tone id off to give his ears a rest,

i had no problem with the tones & found a roman within 1/2 hour [81/]

Have to confess, I recently acquired an xs2a pro, I just love those tones!
Wanted a gt, but this came up, not much difference in reality apart from emi avoidance, it goes nuts on one of my fields with a cable right through the place.
Its good to be back in the sov mob!

I just made my own carbon shaft too, got a Detech Ultimate coil fitted, I just need to learn the machine's tones now but I think it could be a killer on the beach.

I also remember that video, I got my GT about 2010, still have it and will never sell it. I had it sat in the garage for six years after moving house in 2018 without being used, recently got it out charged the battery and it fired right up.
