Newbies From Wimborne

Hi my son and I are new to the hobby,only the one detector a Dr. Otex MT-X as my son who is 24 and interested in the hobby. I 2as hoping someone in the area(Dorset) would be willing to show use the ropes and land just for a day or two. We have been to the beach and will be going again soon.
I would like my son to get into the hobby as he as a keen interesting in all history .
