Hi every one,
I'm new to detecting and I am looking
for a good local club or some buddies, is there anyone
who can let me know of one, I live in Ketton in Rutland and have my own
transport so traveling is no problem.
Thanks in advance
Steve
Clubs or Buddies near Rutland
Hi there Steve,
I'm also a newbie, and live in Barleythorpe, Rutland. Can't seem to find a local club for our little county... unless I'm looking in the wrong place... perhaps we could start our own!
Warm wishes,
MSQ

Hi you two, welcome to the forum and I am sure you will benefit from the vast amount of experience and knowledge that the members will share with you. I have formed two clubs, its a lot easier than people think. Just meeting up over a pint once a month is the start, chatting and deciding if its worth moving ahead and looking for some land, several heads always better than one. Some clubs never move beyond a monthly meeting in a friendly pub, some may have a back room for your use, so ask the landlord. They want the trade and having a regular dozen or more turning up at LEAST monthly is good for business.
Good luck, Liam

Hi Liam,
Thank you for your reply, appreciated.
Agreed, just the joining of minds with the same interest is indeed the start. Obviously c-19 is making meetings a bit trickier these days, especially inside, but being in tier 2 here; an island surrounded by tier 3 and 4, I'm sure we can work something out.
Cheers,
