wicked article, it doesnt say who found it, was it one of us ???
i just love the fact that every bit of metal we pick out the ground hasnt been touched by human hands for 1-2000 years, i found a WWII Fuze the other day under the football pitch ive been playing on for 15 years, just love the fact that in 1940 ish there was a AA gun stationed around there !
Great find, well done to whoever it is. The find of a lifetime indeed, Liam 8->

Wow, what an exciting find - imagine digging that up 8-> 8->
Would like to know more about the finder, but I suppose it's only right to keep these things quiet until all the archeological excavations have been completed. Well done anyway to whoever it was.

From what I can gather the chap who found it is a "Newbi" to detecting he bought a cheap detector hoping to find some medievil coins and hit the jackpot on his second outing in Barrow in Furness thats as much as I know.
