tiny find at Southsea Beach

Post by fabio961 »

Morning all

had a couple of hours with Dirt_Fishing last night down on Southsea beach, very windy with some occassional rain. Pity we didn't have dedicated beach machines though as I have never seen the tide go out so far...exposed a lot of sand.

The usual finds, £2.05 in modern, melted lead, ringpulls etc...but then this little beauty pops up. It's a tiny little silver cameo pendant, with a bust on the front. It's not very old, and the value is between £15 to £100 but it's a nice little find. Interestingly, it was right under a ringpull...I took the ringpull away and gave the pro-pointer another sweep (as you do!) and it went off again, dug down...and there it was.

That's a nice pendant, has it got any hallmarks? It's a pity that I couldn't get down to the beach last night with my CS4PI.

the back needs cleaning up a little bit so no hallmark yet, but it was blowing hard last night PinSlayer. Really stormy, tried to rain a few times but stopped luckily. There was another guy down there with a Whites Prizm, he went out quite far. Like I said, unusual to see the tide go out so far....

Only managed the 2 hours....

but what you you dont get to find out is when I've come back after a session with little or nothing to post about lol. Good days and crap days, we all have em. If you've found jewelry then you've found the right size and weight being deposited there, more will come. If i Get a dodgy signal, one scoop of sand out to Get a clearer signal will determine further investigation :)
