Mid Fife buddy

Post by Jack McHammock »

Hi
I am unable to get any permissions all denied as other detectorists on site

I would like someone with permissions to buddy up, and any finds belong to them/land owner
I just want to wander in the fresh air with a hobby

I have researched the area and the history is interesting from Neolithic, Cromwell and Charles 1 on

Regards Jack McH

There are several Scottish detecting groups: Hope it's ok to mention here Admin? Toddys, Alba and Detecting Scotland. The guy that runs Alba Unearthed MDC (Non Profit) lives I think, in Glenrothes. Most of the groups have digs on a Sunday from harvest to Spring time. Look at FB.

Sir I think you partially answered your own question. Try joining a few of the local clubs. Works for this colonial on my yearly jaunt across the big pond. Some require proof of detecting insurance card. Good luck and be safe youz!

Glenrothes Rimbleton
Tried local farms which I know have history, one farmer who attended my wedding has refused access saying he has a detectorist. Yet has provided nothing, I KNOW CROMWELL crossed this land and watered his animals there, Plus there is a Well there that people went to pray and leave gifts

I tried Letham community site where the farm is but get nothing back
