After nearly 40 years, I have returned to being a Metal Detectorist. I wanted to get a detector that was of a decent quality but have a simple operating format. I have looked around and came across the C.Scope CS3MXI Pro. Two knobs, a switch and that's it. Watched a few vids and read some articles and decided it was the one for me. I also ordered an emiteR Stainless Spade D140, with it.
So far, only had the time to put the detector together, insert the batteries and switch it on, for a very quick sweep. All seems to be functioning just right. I am very chuffed and can't wait to get out with it. The spade is also just what I was expecting. Not too big, fairly light and sturdy as anything.
Cheers.

they are a very nice detector, good choice!
If you ever decide to go for a wireless headphone setup, the garnett ms3 headphone / z lynk transmitter kit works a treat on this detector.

Thanks geoff. Wireless does really make sense, so thanks for the tip.
The C.Scope camo cap and Loxley RX3 headphones were sent as free extras, by the retailers.

My pleasure, the cost of the setup is about £120, and has great audio, and does not interfere with the detector one bit.
Great setup!

Update: I have been out with the C.Scope, for two sessions. Mostly found junk, except for a worn William IV farthing. I am mostly, very impressed with the detector. It has found small objects at 11 to 12 inches deep and is simplicity itself to operate. The pinpoint switch works a treat and is very useful. Not so sure about the discrimination. It ignores small iron pieces but picks up large rusty lumps, a lot. Overall though, I'm loving this machine. [88/]

Any detector gets fooled by large iron, or round washers, keep the disc low, between 2 and 4 max, the less the better.
After a while you will get better at the iron signals, but the truth is, no matter which detector, if you don't dig some iron you will also miss some non ferrous.
Nice to hear you are getting on with the detector, they are a great machine! [81/]

Thanks geoff. I am not that bothered about digging up iron, especially if it's discernable as an object, rather than just a a rusty lump. Finding the coin was a buzz though. Definitely getting the M.D. bug. [18/]
