Hi folks I am looking at getting a Mars tiger coil 10x13 for my xp250. What are peoples thoughts on Mars coils and is there an advantage of getting the discovery coil for extra £10? I do open pasture with no trash. Just want more depth and coverage. Is this a good update do you think? If I get it for £150 yours

I have a number of Mars Coils, and they all perform very well.
I wouldn't have any qualms about recommending them.
BBB.

Thanks Mate. What advantage is the discovery over the tiger in your view?

Sorry, no idea of the comparison.
I've only ever used a Mars Tiger on my AKA Signum MFT7272, and it performs extremely well.
You should probably go for the best one that you can afford.

ok got a pretty good deal i think with the tiger coil. No advertising so no names.
It is clearly a little heavier than my 9 inch and on bench tests got a few inches depth. in the open field there is alot more background noise so had to turn sensitivity down so may loose depth there. But got a toasty coil this morning and felt i covered much more ground.
Still cannot figure the benefit of the 13x13 over the 13x10 other than for sweeping between the thistles being a little easier!!

Sadly the Mars coil chattered like a sparrow. so sent it back. Got a SEF coil 12x10 from blackdog on MDF great deal. This coil is silent almost till max sensitivity and gives me extra 3-4 in air testing.
Superb addition to the arsenal.
Thank you SEF coils and blackdog and MDF
