waterproof headphones!

Post by ROCK HOPPER »

Can anyone recommend some waterproof headphones for my nox 800. Most of my detecting is done in the winter so would be useful.

Hi, there are a few options but I'm not aware of any wireless ones, check out the forum shop. I think you will either need to use the waterproof connection on the Nox or the wireless module with wired waterproof 'phones.

I bought some Detecting Innovations waterproof ear buds (also in the shop!) and they are good with the ML wireless module, I did do some tinkering with mine to waterproof the 3.5mm connection and that's in the ML section.

Have been thinking of getting dedicated waterproof ones but, as others point out, if you aren't going to submerge your head a good coat hood and/or hat will keep out the worst of it [81/]

Let us know!

Aye, if you need to protect them from the rain then wouldn't you have a hood up anyway to protect your head?

Hi! Thanks for the reply. I have found stuff called Shoe Goo that I have used to mend tiny holes in my Waders may be of use to you to waterproof stuff. The rain in Cornwall is so bad at times it can get under my hood but they have survived up to now.
