Looking for a buddy Glasgow

Post by Yapster666 »

Hey all.
Brand new to the hobby (so new that I don't have a detector yet) and looking for a buddy near(ish) to myself. I'm based in Paisley area and eager to get started.

Wee bit about me:
I'm a 35 year old 2nd year psychology student. I worked for 10 years or so in the drilling industry before the industry took a major slump and then I worked on local buses for a few years. I decided to go back into full time education for a change of career and to study a subject which has fascinated me for years.
I enjoy tabletop role-playing games, computer games, cycling, walking my dog and spending time with family and friends.

Hi Gary,

A very mixed bag there. Similar to myself. I started life as an apprentice electrician, then time served electrician, then telecommunications engineer, then took 5 years out, 1 year college and 4 years at Herriot Watt University. Graduated with a B. Sc honours in Building Economics and Quantity Surveying in 1999 and have been a QS ever since.

When I was a student I refuelled buses at night and drove them through the bus wash. Worked as a supervisor on the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme for youths amongst other things.

Goid luck with your studies, I hope you do well.

Likewise with the detectoring hobby.

Cheers
