It would seem that it's all crown estate foreshore. It sounds like the fitties is saltmarsh and may have some special habitats inland from the foreshore:

Magic doesn't show any special statutory designations, like SSSI tec:

Although there is an area called "Cleethorpes Nature Reserve" which probably has wading birds - best to keep clear of that bit.
Looks like you ought to be fine - certainly Paul Cee on youtube seems to spend a lot of time around the area.

Good place to start is behind the old pleasure Island, known as bullet beach. Park in the car park just before the fitties .If your local like me you'll know to be careful of the tides and the mud banks.

I used to detect at Cleethorpes back in the 1980s, I wonder if it has changed much over the years. Back then, the beaches after the boating lake and towards the Fitties were really trashy. Someone told me that the embankments were made from landfill.
I found the best areas were between the Pier and the new Leisure Centre - there was a bit of beach opposite the old Winter Gardens that was a sweet spot for threepenny bits.
Anyway, good hunting - and let us know what you find![ThumbsUp [81/]](./images/smilies/81_EmoticonsHDcom.png)
