9x5 will never fully charge

i have a strange prob with the oval coil the display on the remote shows it at half full after charging
it goes thru the procedure ok with a slow flash to show fully charged

its been back to regtons and they sent me a new battery but its stil the same ..only half full according to the remote control cimble afer a full charge what gives ?? [27/]

charging clip and cable has been changed as well

Same problem here. After an hour or two plugged in, coil light illuminated, it eventually does the 3-second flash. Then test it with the machine switched on and the display shows 2/3 full at most, so put it back on charge, repeat the procedure 2 or 3 times and eventually the charge shows as full.

XP consistently ignore complaints about the charging clip. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Not much help I know, but I sympathise.

I'm not familiar with any XP machines other than the Goldmaxx P4 but before doing anything else, if you can readily access the battery, check the battery holding voltage with a voltmeter followed if necessary, by a check of the charger's output voltage. I've heard before that sometimes the charge indication is incorrect. Here's hoping you get to the bottom of the problem. [81/]

Check software release, this was a problem at least 2 years ago

that did it ,it needs 2 or 3 goes to charge it fully, and forget the xp clip its useless
