Headphone choices

Hi, i have just switched from Garrett to Equinox 800 and purchased a brand new machine last week..I charged both detector and headphones and then paired the headphones ready for the first outing which was today ...When i tried to power the headphones nothing happened and it appears the power on off switch is not working ..I did try a recharge and all lights were showing then going out...I know these thing happen and i have sent the company a email letting them know i have some faulty headphones,in the meantime i am looking at purchasing some BT Earbuds aptx and was wondering if anyone is using them and what run time they get out of them ...Thanks
