What a haul :);/ :);/ Great mix of new and old, on one of the beaches I regularly do I heard a Vicky Sovereign came up, not for me, sadly (+"$

Hammered have come up on my local beach but not heard about any gold coins and finding one still on my bucket list

Yeah, it was one of them times when you get talking to someone local, showed him a couple of WW2 bits, pre decimals and he comes out with the "did you hear...." Apparently the lad who found it was known for being out in all weathers, day and night so fair play to him, he earned it (+"$

😂 you know that ! I’m trying to get the 6” coil for the nox from beach spendables but the tin seems to be lower every time I go to top it up 😳

I don't know what's happened to my beaches. This time last year I'd already had 2 rings and was about to find my 3rd, interspersed with plenty of coinage, both modern and some pre-decimal. This year, there's nothing but ring pulls and aluminium blobs. Not even finding loose change. I know people are going to the beach as I've seen them on webcams and in press photos. You can tell if another detectorist has been around as the refilled holes are clearly visible. That's not the case here. I just hope it picks up now we're in summer.

Sadly, as we move towards a cashless society fresh coinage drops have, well, dropped and will continue to do so. This and the lousy steel cored coins plus bottle caps and canslaw/ally blobs make the dry increasingly frustrating. I now mainly do the wet and occasionally the dry on the way back to the car [27/]
