Where can I detect.. Chesil, Portland, Weymouth?

Where can I detect.. Chesil, Portland, Weymouth?

I'm staying at the WPNSA site right next to Chesil beach and Portland for the next week..
Can anyone advise where I can / can't go?
Read contradictory info on Chesil beach and bank..
