Slow find 20

Post by Sodit »

Had my pro find 20 about 6 months now, just not very impressed, seems to have a mind of its own , turning off , not beeping and the just random beeping! Does not seem very sensitive, changed the battery about 6 times now, just think it’s rubbish really, any idea how the pro find can be saved from the bin????
Thanks

Have you tried a factory reset?
If it is difficult you are doing it wrong

A check worth doing is to ensure the pin-pointer battery receiving contacts provide a positive contact with the battery terminals. If not tight an intermittent power contact will occur causing the effects you are experiencing. I came across this same problem with a different pin-pointer which was resolved by the addressing the fault as above [81/] Good Luck.

Hello, I know this is an old post, but I have had my Profind 20 for about a month (only used a few times) and from the beginning it was very temperamental. Exactly the same as this this post - sometimes working, sometimes not and turning itself off randomly. It seems to be the battery not connecting properly; the battery seems to rattle around inside it! I tried a factory reset, but it wouldn't even let me do that - I phoned the shop where I bought it and they have instructed me to return it - they emailed me a returns label. I am just posting in case anyone else has the same problem (in which case it may be a bad batch or something). I will post the outcome when I hear from them - thank you, Kim
