any suggestions for getting best price for selling a coin IE-- a dealer or any particular auctioneer

In my experience dealers are a big no no. Offer the lowest value to make profit
out of you.
Private collectors very good prices and no fees.
Auction give you the best prices on the day. I can recommend Dix Noonan Webb

Best price on the day no doubt if the right buyers are there, but you have to factor in the 15% commission.
