Quest have announced two new SMF machines, V80 and V60.
I was a bit confused from their website as it said it went up to 80khz, but later it said 60khz was highest selectable... so I messaged Quest for confirmation, their response is below.
"The selectable frequency is 5, 10, 15, 20, 40 and 60.
HYPERQ:Transmit multi essential frequencies range from 7 to 80kHz to the ground, simultaneously."
SMF V80, broadest range of frequencies ?

Video on Quest Europe YouTube channel going through the display and settings, looks an interesting and versatile machine.

You will find that all SMF detectors transmit square-edged pulsetrains of electromagnetic energy into the ground. It is in the nature of such pulsetrains that they contain harmonics ie multiples of the basic pulse repetition frequency. For example, a square wave of basic frequency 20 kHz will also contain frequencies at odd-numberef harmonics ie 60kHz and 100kHz. The extent to which any SMF detector actually processes the received signals to analyse any given maximum frequency component(s) is not something that any manufacturer gives any/much info on.
