Software Update or not ?

Have only used my simplex plus on 3 or 4 digs now so by no means experienced with it yet but I'm still running v2.68 software am I much better off updating to V2.78 or not?

Confusing - the Nokta Makro website says specifically in relation to V2.78 -

"ID stability and depths have been changed back to the same levels of version 2.68. This will NOT affect the overall depth and sensitivity of the device".

So would the latest update actually improve performance?

It's a one-way street - there is only 2.78 on their website now and there is no facility to go back to any earlier version.

If you're happy with your machine as it is, I wouldn't bother with the update. I did the update to 2.78 ages ago and have had no problems with it.

You should be fine either way!

Does it add an extra field mode and mineralisation bar?, would it then be beneficial to update?

I can't remember - I have Field 1 and 2 modes and I have never had to deal with bad mineralisation.
