Try this link for direct access to the PDF?

https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/GetApplication ... id=6859429

EDIT: It has been pointed out to me that the link I posted produces an error - apologies for that! The URL is correctly copied from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, but it appears that they don't like it being accessed from outside the FCC portal.

When you reach the page linked in the opening post, clicking on the 'External photo' link, within the several listed links shown centrally on that webpage, you'll get to the PDF showing photos of the WM09 module. Once more, my apologies.

Hope it fits the 900. They should sell it with the module instead of the 6" coil.

I’d be interested to see what the price is,bearing in mind that it’s quite easy to convert the ml 85 headphones into a module [81/]

If you open the "user manual" from the original link you will see that it is not a user manual but just some "safety" bumff, however it does have the table below which implies that the new module is intended for use with the machines listed?

Also note that the Manticore and the Nox 700/900 have a slightly greater frequency range than the Nox 600/800, were folk aware of this?

I'd love one of these, but that's a hell of a chunk of cash for what is just a bluetooth receiver.

Essentially it's the electronics from a pair of ML85 headphones but with a jack socket instead of providing the headphone hardware.... And yet costing £50 more than the headphones.

This latest Minelab period - releasing the Manticore, then the 900 and 700; the poor headphones with the Manticore, the stupidly priced and underperforming 15" Manticore coil, the dragging heels to release an expensive headphone module - isn't doing the company any favours. Minelab have turned into a massive PR machine and have been treating us with more than a small dose of contempt. If you look back on some of the marketing videos on the build up to the release of the Manticore they come across as ridiculous now. All the 'double the power' nonsense. They knew that there is a very specific power transmission limit on metal detectors (US safety compliance - look it up). They deliberately made the spec vague and failed to impart what they knew. Terrible, really. And even though I've owned a Manticore for just over a year now (and have found it to be decent enough) I'm tired of the 'fleece em' attitude of Minelab.

This module shouldn't even have been necessary. And if there really is some 'latency proprietary blah blah' reason with the Manticore then the module should have been ready and for sale at the launch of the Manticore in the first place. We all know that the headphones with the Manticore sound alright when the wind isn't blowing but I know some people have found them to give up the ghost in light rain. And the design is appalling - exposed wires which, I'm betting, have been pulled out in many cases. £159....... You can buy better quality of generic headphones in Argos for £30.

If it's anything like the 800 module then you can use any wired headphones plugged into it. I personally used the XP back phones during the summer months as they were cooler in use.
Have to agree the new module is very pricey. Not that Minelab will care though. They couldn't give a hoot as long as they sell their overpriced stuff!!
