Minelab ML80 Bluetooth Headphones

Hi guys,
Just recently brought some used Minelab ML80 Bluetooth Headphones.
The part that goes over your head is cover in tape I was wondering whether this can be replaced ??

If it can`t be replaced it`s an easy job for a car trimmer. [81/]

Worst case scenario is to remove the tape and do a neater job of it. [81/]
