I don't know the area, but just to point out that anywhere inland in the UK requires specific permission to detect.

Iam not exactly new too detecting but the last time I did it regularly was 40 years age , back to it now though and things have chaged a fair bit , 40 years ago I just wondered where ever I wanted and no one seemed to bother you. Just working on getting some permissions , I have been out with mates who have permissions and already found a hammered and a few roman coins
