Valentinian 2nd GOLD SOLIDUS

Post by cvno »

On the 22nd of January 2025 a certain Macsen Wledig posted "Your bucket Lister" and sometimes dream's and wishes do come true a not very productive day turned into an unforgettable one not very deep but a 19/20 on the Nox 800 and the detecting god's looking down on me out came this little beauty. Its a Gold Solidus of Valentinian 2nd minted in Trier it's not often I take photos in the field and I think I dropped it 3 times before I managed it.Ive been over this field so many times it is a big one but I'm beyond happy and celebrating with a couple of ciders. Thanks for looking Rob

It's not what you don't know that is the problem. It's what you think you know, that just isn't so.
