Identification Please

Post by storminorm »

Day out yesterday with Stonecarver Twenty five buttons and this token

Last week I found a Roger Oliver farthing token on the same field!

I can see the date is 1664, and possibly Roger But any further information would be greatly appreciated

One side show a razor over shears the other a wool comb, so I assure something to do with the wool trade

Thank you taking the trouble of looking

This is a strange one, I have been through the entire Williamson catalogue and it isn't in there and it isn't on PAS either. It seems to read ROGER BAGSTER OF However the other side is too far gone to read anything useful apart from the date. May be one to run past your FLO as they will have experts to call on. It is possible that you have found a new variety. What town was it found near please?
