I propose Minelab's contribution of necessary improvements in future firmware updates of the Manticore.

I’m new to this hobby and would like a clock as I don’t wear a watch or take my telephone with me. The time seems to run away so it would be useful.
As for your second one, I can’t comment as it sounds a bit technical and therefore don’t really understand. I’m hoping one day I might!

How about ferrous and non ferrous colours on the middle.line say if ther is two targets next to each other 1 ferrous 2 non ferrous we can identify them.both by sound and 2 d screen rater then looking at how good of a dot and red line on the numbers surely it makes sense to have red and black in that section rather then on the numbers then we could easily identify two targets and what there made of

The 2D screen does not work like that at all, it is very good as it is if you know how to interpret what it is trying to tell you.Henry79 wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 10:06 am How about ferrous and non ferrous colours on the middle.line say if ther is two targets next to each other 1 ferrous 2 non ferrous we can identify them.both by sound and 2 d screen rater then looking at how good of a dot and red line on the numbers surely it makes sense to have red and black in that section rather then on the numbers then we could easily identify two targets and what there made of

I propose they improve the interference from mineralisation from the ground, so we can get the sensitivity up closer to where it can get to, which will improve the depth of the machine.Cyclopes wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 10:38 pm I propose Minelab's contribution of necessary improvements in future firmware updates of the Manticore.

What type of mineralisation do you have trouble with, in the UK it is mostly so mild that there is normally no need to even ground balance. Do you really mean sparky iron breaking through?Colin.b wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 3:52 pm I propose they improve the interference from mineralisation from the ground, so we can get the sensitivity up closer to where it can get to, which will improve the depth of the machine.

How about going back to standard Bluetooth to give customers more headphone choice without the exorbitant ML price tag?

Not sure if its mineralisation or sparky Iron, But any more than 24 sensitivity and the machine gets alot of ground noise.Alan Black wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 4:53 pm What type of mineralisation do you have trouble with, in the UK it is mostly so mild that there is normally no need to even ground balance. Do you ground balance? I find that helps a lot and I can sometimes push my sensitivity up to 30, I also use the stabiliser on 1 (filter off)Colin.b wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 5:35 pm Not sure if its mineralisation or sparky Iron, But any more than 24 sensitivity and the machine gets alot of ground noise.

Exactly what we all say, I bought a cheapo keyring digi watch and attached it to the finds bag, job done. Extremely handy, time does run away.Cyclopes wrote: Tue Mar 18, 2025 10:38 pm I propose Minelab's contribution of necessary improvements in future firmware updates of the Manticore.

Yes I try ground balance when I'm getting alot of noise. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. I use stabiliser on 1 or 2 and filter off.LuckyB wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 5:40 pm Do you ground balance? Just a very important tip mate, ALWAYS take your mobile on or off, you never know what can happen when you're in the middle of nowhere on your own. Anyone can have a medical episode or a trip or fall and suchlike it's your lifeline.MajorD wrote: Wed Mar 19, 2025 9:37 am I’m new to this hobby and would like a clock as I don’t wear a watch or take my telephone with me.
