Possible coin ? roman ?

Post by stevo-preston »

Evening all
Found this today seems to be copper alloy ?
There’s nothing left on it at all but the really small size makes me wonder if it’s a really old coin?
I don’t think il be able to get an id but if anyone has any ideas that would be great
Many thanks

That looks like a possible Roman coin.
Maybe these maps and legends?

You’re welcome,I’ve found hundreds of Roman over the years, the vast majority, unfortunately in this condition. Its a real bonus, when you do find a decent one though and I’ve had them on permissions alongside the grotty ones.
Good luck with your detecting,
Rich. [81/]
