Help with identifying this please

Found this today in a field about 6 inches deep with the nox 800, can see some lettering on it and a few number just wondering if anyone can identify it, any help is much appreciated

I like that but never seen one - appears to say registered Sept 01 18.. - a weight of some sort? what does it weigh?

Is it a flattened top from a vet's medicine vial? The syringe would go through the hole?

They are normally aluminium but yours looks a bit dark to be aluminium [42/]
