Crisp Crispus Follis

Post by AlcaLloyd »

Post drilling, any land is at a premium. So I was happy to be out on a micro permission where a friend had been digging some foundations. In one spoil pile I found a decent little Constantius II minim followed by this Crispus nummus/follis in lovely condition. Nearly all the romans found my way are grots so this was a very welcome surprise 🙂
(only lightly cleaned with a dry toothbrush and tooth pick)

I was walking around a castle recently and there were many mole hills in the surrounding grassland...I inspected as many as possible before wifey thought I'd lost the plot. Great minds...😃

This castle you were walking around ...... is it your second home (the council tax must be horrific!) or is it a mere Airbnb you were staying at? 😉
