Strange artifact for id?

Post by erious1 »

Evening all,
I have this strange piece I found some time ago, that I would like help identifying please?
It's a hollow copper tube with 6 sides that narrow towards a tip.Two of the opposing side have holes recesses. The tip has broken. The bottom appears to be intact.
My research has not found any answers so I'm posting here. šŸ‘

Initial thoughts were candle holder or a riding crop ferule..?
I don't think it's a musical instrument.

Any Idea? Will be much appreciated [81/]
