Hi everyone, hope you’re all well.
Posting this for my mate so I can’t take any credit.
He found this on Sunday and going on the pic of the one in the Finds ID II book, we’re pretty sure it’s a Wirral brooch, only missing the loop and pin. Found in Cheshire so the right area. What do you think?
It’s come as nice surprise as up to now the only thing of note is musket balls off this field, which we’ve had 5. Loads of moo tubes and other rubbish.
Was in an Oats crop which large swathes haven’t taken so we’re allowed on the bald spots.
Found using his Garrett Ace with viper coil, around 6” down and signal was a bit of everything before he started digging it out.
We’d be interested to hear your opinions and thanks for looking.

I like it and I can't say I've ever seen a similar one so I assume they're a pretty scarce find
Cheers Eric
