Gwynedd field finds

Post by bryanhen01 »

What a great day to get out and about with this fantastic weather.
Thought I'd put this up alongside the elizabeth 1st sixpence I put up last week. Given it a quick clean but it's pretty much how it came out . The date is 1567 and it's smaller than the sixpence so is it a silver three pence?
Found it close to last weeks coin so a lot of activity in this area from that period

Many thanks Mr A, they obviously downsized the sixpence in the latter years. My field never ceases to amaze me. Hopefully I'll find more period pieces. Bryan
