Hello Burgman,
I use the Euroace which I suppose is the baby brother/similar to the AT,at the mo. I`m running ZERO on the descrim. and like Blackadder suggests..starting on full sens. and notching down until the machine settles.my fields are full of coke, iron and in places lead, you hear everything but it`s not continually sounding. It depends what YOUR fields/soil is like...Typically for me it`s two notches off the sens. but this will be adjusted either way as req. eg. if you get a one way tone or iffy tone I might bump it up to max. to try and pick out something more specific.
regards
Clint

Yea sensitivity varies,
most of the places i can go with my AT Pro the GB is normally 80-86 ridiculously high, i normally run my sensitivity on 6-7 bars but i have dropped it to 5 and 4 before. Never lower I do get a few false signals every now and again but i just dont think its worth the risk of missing items.
Getting rather of tired of digging up charcoal though
But I am still finding things pretty deep for the conditions. I found a pen knife the other day about 8 inchs down.
One thats bothering me is people saying "I run it in Zero mode with discrim on x amount"
why don't they just put it in custom mode and then they haven't got to input it in again lol
or am i missing something?
Zero mode just means no discrim and no notchs eliminated doesn't it?

Yea my fields are littered with shotgun shells left right and centre, plus loads of strange iron objects which i mainly think are bits of fence.Burgman wrote: Luckily the fields don't seem to have much coke or charcoal, but are blessed with liberal quantities of iron.
The farmers just cleaned out a ditch and chucked it all on the field as its good soil, checked it out yesterday found a cracking 1900 Half Crown god know how it ended up in there, must have been some farmers weeks wages lost lol
So i guess if your searching on the top for stuff you could drop it less then 4.
I do tend to turn sensitivity only a couple of bars down for most my stuff as i don't mind a bit of static its still going to sound off when i get something good

Ha i love it! sounds nice don't it but I would rather here all the other crazy tones it gives off in pro mode.Burgman wrote: including STD coins (or ding-dong mode as my wife calls it).
