newbie for the beach

hi all.just got my first detector a cscope 770xd.i live in sunny :-O wales where there are many beaches to be explored.would be most grateful for any feedback on this machine on the beach.been out twice but come back empty handed :( any suggestions welcome.thanks.

Hi Jean what area of Wales do you live in been on some of N Wales beaches but not found anything of value just interesting bits and pieces to me, probably rubbish to others but they are all finds. Also a few modern coins

wellcome to the forum jean.
i don't know anything about your cscope detector,but i'm sure there are plenty on the forum that can help you.
the only advice i can give is :
do plenty of research of the beach[old photos,google,things like that]
get to learn the beach your on[there are allways hotspots where finds move to]
dont be afraid to try different things or places,
the main thing is have fun,the finds will come, so don't get dissheartened ;)
i detect beaches in the mid wales area and it's good,best of all it's just nice to be by the seaside,good hunting gazza.
