I would imagine its some sort of commerative coin or medallion....Pic would be helpfull..

Try and scan it on your scanner.....it sometimes works good enough for an ID...
Its not going to be a coin with 2 dates on it.....i wouldnt have thought...

Rub the coin between your fingers....if you get no smell then it "may" be gold...if you get a metalic smell, quite distinctive then its brass.......
I cant believe with a nickname such as yours that you dont have a camera on your phone......

mate if you have an I-phone use the camera on that. Stand it on something and put the coin below the camera is good for close shots

Well with a weight of 5.1g it rules out Sov and Half sov so I would be guessing and saying it is most likely to be a token or commem as others have suggested.

Without seeing it I am gonna stick my neck out and say it is a 25 year commemorative medallion

Good call minelabmania.....seems as though 1862 was Queen viccys silver jubilee.....
