yes this was sorted as you so rightly said but the guy abroad has been asking if he can rebuild his and i was sure it was a NOT FITTED correctly problem and the glen came on and said he wore his controls on the right ear and it just escalted from there really. anyway glen has now discovered the truth LEFT EAR i have explained to our friend abroad how the wire should be and hopefully everyone is happy.

yes i do believe you could be right about actually when a diggable signal does become a diggable signal to one person and actually different to another i am still working to learn it and to find out what it is telling me. i think i will need another couple of months just tootling about learning the signals so i dont dig loads of rubbish. i find the ids strange like a nail will be 98 and yet a gold ring will come in at 98. i would love to see some sort of id chart i know each program gives different ids but i am trying to build up in my mind good and bad ids and if i dont get an id i just kick off the top surface to get a better look

i am learning about minerisation and checking that the deus gets the best working conditions working at the weekend i still found all my finds shallow say six inches i listen for the deep sounds but they dont seem to happen, it makes for a fast recovery anyway so there is always a plus side to it keeping positive as the deus is just so light and the cordless headphones are a dream

I have one comment about the headphones. Watch the little metal pin that creates the pivot at the top of the phones as it can work itself loose. I've not had it come all the way out yet but close......

is this a good idea or not there wont be discussion in it just interesting points YES or NO

I think that's a good idea Sugar, the post can be locked when you are happy with it and perhaps mrix could make it a sticky thread in the Deus section, as a reference ?

I think it is a good idea Sugar as you have all thrashed out many issues with the Deus settings on this and a few other threads, would be nice to get the more data type bits all together so a new Deus user can try the different settings and understand some of the nuances of the machine, perhaps similar to a detector review.

See what you and the other Deus users think ? The forum can accommodate your recommendations on a way to make the information easy to find and access in the future

Edit see Liam has done the different items in a separate post, great idea :)

Hi Chris, can you do the same question on the link above which deals ONLY with the coil? That way, members will be better able to find the answers. Thanks, Liam B-)

Just an idea if the Deus users think it is a good idea, what about doing a final post on this thread with a link to all the new seperate Deus threads, then lock this one ?

What do you guys and girls think ?

The links could also be edited in to the first post

Totally up to you all what you think is best

I have just deleted my post after reading the post from glen and i thank him very much for his appreciation. i will endeavour in the next few weeks to get the interesting info across to the correct slots and maybe people will be ready to let this one go thanks to everyone that has contributed and see if we can keep it a little bit longer when i am sure people will realise that in their own catagories it will be so much easier to resaerch

It's a very informative thread that you guys have put a lot of time into, would only lock if you all wanted it, perhaps leaving it open as well as put the links on it ? No rush on a course of action

glen you have asked about all three components having to be charged at the same time to make up the circuit well i am not convinced as each indivdual item does seem to start charging when put on individually but i will check this out. hammyman has said he does charge his coil up on its own which is an indication that the inforrmation you were given is incorrect, if these items do charge independently then it makes sense that as soon as the coil starts flashing you can unclip the coil and leave the other two on.
the fact that you put them on overnight is another question and is one i will research and put you an answer up as soon as i have one in fact i will check into both as we dont wont any wrong info being posted

Ok REGTONS say you can charge the components together or separately what you were told was not factual no i lie he actually said it was a load of rubbish hehehe anyway asked about the overnight charge he said yes you can do it but it is not advisable AND THAT IS WORD FOR WORD i hope that helps glen and anybody else that is confused

the deus is certainly a different concept in metal detcting and as people have spent alot of cash on there new product they are striving to get it right. yes you can read through the manual but it does not answer all the most basic of questions.
the deus for dummies has been the only lifeline for those people it is as it says deus for dummies because some of the questions are very basic because we just dont get the concept or have been given false information . at least we are starting to get some concrete answers which will be around for any new owners of a deus,
if we dont have a deus expert on here to help us then i will phone regtons and get the correct answer so there are no worries there

Hi all, its time we locked this post as we are now bypassing the separate Deus topics that have been set up to answer specific questions. We cannot have both running without a lot of confusion.
So for anyone viwing this topic and wanting info on the Deus, look up the XP section and you will spot the heading you need. We can add more headings as people want, but lets try to keep the subject matter under the right headings, it will be the same people posting but now much easier to find. Posts like this end up very muddled and the same questions are already answered way back and hard to find. Thanks for starting this all off sugar, much appreciated and I am sure you will let me know if you think it is working or not. Liam B-)
