First Hour With New Safari

Post by fishy »

Managed to get an hour in with my new machine today.
First impressions were - what the hell have I got here!

I struggled to even dig/find my first target.
As the hour went on I found I was soon getting the hang of it.
The ID numbers are great, ring pulls came in at 17 every time.

Got a few bits to bring home including a ring :D

I think the ring is Aluminium, it has INDIA stamped inside.

Will post more on my thoughts of the Safari when I have used it some more.

Hello.

Nice start !

Soon you will learn to interpret the signals. Bottlecaps are easy to avoid in ferrous mode, with iron open. (will jump betwen -3 and +18).

If you want target icons with a ferrous mode, just save your ferrous program into the conductive part (coin, coin jewelry). Thi is called cross saving.

Whent you get iffy signals with bumping numbers just pinpoint. If you see evidence of the presence of a metallic target, just dig. That will be deeper than deep.

Cheers.

You'll soon get the hang of it, and the finds will come, this is a complex machine but will be more rewarding once you have cracked it
