Told it's ok to detect crosby beach been there a few times but you can't go past the coastguard station towards formby or on the dunes as it's a nature reserve . The beach is full of rubbish at the leisure centre end best going about 25mts down beach to lines of shingle found a few bits but nothing of value .In front of carpark opposite end to coastguard station is clear of rubbish but I go 25mts down beach there as well most iv'e found on both areas a few modern coins , I was told there is someone else who goes most days so probably finds all the coins, didn't find any last time I went there [week before christmas] should be better in summer what detector do you use?

I've just got a Garrett ace 150. I've heard it's not good on wet sand so was going to stick to the dry stuff away from the water. I have no Idea what I'm doing and I don't have any permissions so it's just to test out the machine for the time being. Not too bothered about finding anything at the moment as long as I get to dig something to get me used to it.

I'm outside Old Trafford and there's a guy burning small effigies of Rooney and selling them to fans. Oh, hang on. It's a baked potato stand.
