Old tip with a lot of bottle... Help please

Hi all, went to my brother in laws to do some detecting today - a little land to play on. Was having no joy then remembered that he told me there was an old tip on the edge of his land so took a stroll. Well, i put down my detector and headed in with my spade. The surface was littered with bottles - none I recognised and I am in my 40's! The Bovril ones looked pretty cool and I found 3 different sizes. I also found stacks of others that you can see. The tall one with the narrow long neck behind the clay(?) pot was unusual looking .The blue one, is this an old poison container? Nothing written on it. The tall green dubonnet bottle is odd as it has a bent neck. I left dozens behind and only scratched the surface! There was lots of rabbit burrows full of glass and pottery, my leg even disappeared down a hole that appeared as I walked through. This is my first time with bottles but am looking for any info at all in these.

looks like you found a 1920s bottle tip because any early they never used screw on tops

Yes I noticed alot with no screw lids. Brother in law did find a Victorian penny on the surface as well.

Quite late, I'm afraid - certainly 1930s possibly 40s as characterised by the twist top bovvies and Virols, and the high proportion of colourless (as opposed to aqua) glass. The amber octagonals are Milton's fluid, the blue is a Milk of Magnesia. as you suggest, the fluted aqua is probably the most interesting, generally regarded as a pepper sauce, however unfortunately pretty common and worth no more than a quid. What is embossed on the other aqua (next to the Milk of Magnesia in the last pic?).

But certainly worth another crack due to the possibility of late throwouts, or the tip may be earlier in parts - try getting some more depth. Thanks for sharing

One bottle has Dubonnet embossed another has Croupline cough syrup and another has Diuromil . I did find a bottle with 'poison ' written on the side which I thought was pretty cool! Managed to leave it behind somehow!! Will pick it up next time:) I will dig down further next time. These were literly scattered on the slope surface .

Were they tipped from the top of the slope? If so, most bottles will have rolled down, so dig down to the base layer & then start cutting in to the slope from the bottom, making sure you hug the base layer all the way so you don't miss anything.

As I said, you may find old throwouts or an earlier part, but dumps of this age may still be good for poisons, flagons, and enamel signs
