Garrett AT Pro Beach help!!!!

Hi all,

I have been to the beach two times now with my garrett at pro and the first time i went i found it hard to ground balance my detector. The second time i changed frequency and ground balance was great.The sand im detecting on is wet, I am using a setting of iron(29) sensitivity (two bars from full) basic mode all metal)

What setting should i be on for the beach ? Maybe i should try coin mode with 35 set on the iron? sensitivity half?

Also even when i turn the sensitivity down to only two bars im still picking stuff up at 6-8 inch is this right?

Hello Kev.
there are some training vids. on the Garrett web site for the at pro regarding beach use.They still seem to false a bit though.Forgive me if I`m wrong...you say you adjusted frequency...thought the at pro was single frequency??

Ye I will have a look at that thx, The at pro operates on 4 different frequencies you can change from F1 to F4 by holding pinpoint and pressing frequency up or down at same time. (I have the AT Pro international maybe it's different?)

looking at their ad. for the at. it says it`s operating on 15khz..??Is just the pinpoint frequency adjustable?Confused..

If you look at the clips on the Garrett website it will show you (basic part 4 clip) seems to work for me on the beach.
