Any one from North East got a clue about this.

Post by Fieldsports »

I was considering going to this part of the crown foreshore for a first time.
We all have to have a go its our duty :))

Just the maps on crown foreshore site are not very good as far as boundary's go.
I have tried to cross reference it with OS maps but still would like a bit of advice on the matter.
Can anyone tell me the NO go zones and where this starts and ends ?
Also what part of the beach can I detect and what part id NO go ?
Here is a bit of a map from the north east map supplied by crown foreshore..

As you can see its a bit vague at the least.
Any advice or help appreciated.
Thanks Steve

Thanks for the reply !
have you had any luck there or is it pantaloons.
Was hoping to find out where the boundary starts and finishes.

Just do not want to get any grief off anyone when I go.

Thanks Steve

Anything purple is ok, thats the bits you can detect.
Its better out of the ground and in your hand for the history or monetary value rather than left in the ground to rot doing nothing for anyone.

If you send an email to iain.mills(AT)thecrownestate.co.uk asking for a much more detailed map of the specific area you are interested in. I did this last year and got some clearer maps showing the areas I was after. Worth a try perhaps.
Current setup:
XP Deus v2.0, MINELAB Equinox 800 v1.7.5, GARRETT Pro-Pointer

I know the purple is OK thanks.
Just I really do not know from the map where the purple starts and finishes.
I was hoping that someone could say from this point to that point.
But thanks for the reply....appreciated.

Not to worry I will ring North Tyneside Council on Monday I am sure they will have the the legislation and boundary's on this section.

If anyone has done this have you found much ?

Or is it a waste of time ?

Thanks Steve

Thanks.
Spoke to him last week he sent me a map via email that was really no better than th crown map.
but he did try bless him.
Something to do with the crown department and the OS map people.....they can not no longer give out detailed maps.
Also spoke to Alan Maving from South Tyneside council, he said he would meet me and tell me the ins and outs but he was not aware of the map that crown estates issue.
So I would have to show it to him at a meeting.
I am thinking "what a clart on"
Was hoping someone would have insight into this and avoid the chew with maps and meetings.

Thanks Steve
