Congratulations on the Deus Gav & welcome to the Forum
I like you it seems took alot of time looking into the Deus before taking the jump and buying it . I had mine delivered over 2 weeks ago and Due to work I still aint even taken it out the box , the anticipation is killing me :-(

Thanks guys the decision was made mainly due to reading phil-fields continued learning curve with his that swayed me into buying one .I have had no experience with any other m/d except the garrett 250 and euroace so im hoping that will help me because im not comparing it to another machine and starting from scratch

Solid move Gav .. but then I'm baised as I have been using mine for some 9 months now.
Other machines will find what the Deus finds... but what you are paying for is lightness in weight, the joy of cordless phones and superb craftmanship.
And I have pretty much been sticking with GMP mode ! Trashy iron sites are where you will want to play around with settings...
Switch on and go as far as I was concerned though
