XP DEUS -- MISSING COIL

Hi All,

My new XP deus has gone on the blink,, took it out for the second time (with a full charge ) but when i turned it on it keeps flashing NO COIL on the screen. any Xp boys out there had the same issue.
im calling regton tomorrow but thought i would ask here first. Martin

If the coil isn't connected fully whilst charging, it may "appear" to be charging and may not charge at all!!

Also, make sure the headphones and control unit are set to the the correct coil when going out in the field

yes exactly as fisher says scroll down headphones until coil number comes up should say 1 do the same on the control unit coil should say 1 do that and come back to us we are all here to help
also plug coil in to charger and make sure the light isnt constant if constant it wants charging we will keep coming up with answers as long as you tell us THE RESULTS

i had the charger on the wrong way round so must have still been flat when i took it out. ive it on charge now so hope that takes care of it.

Just though i would try it while on charge and sure enough it came on with the coil on the screen.

what do you think about the sound quality of the wireless headphones compared to the gray ghosts .

GREAT NEWS and a lesson for all newbies with the deus when the coil is connected correctly to the charger the light on the coil will BE CONSTANT and this is what tells you it is charging and that the charger is fitted correctly when it is charged then the light will flash
well done for bringing this problem up i am sure it will help someone else and that is what these discussions are about HAPPY HUNTING

I always pays to read the manual? The charging clip is designed in such as way it shouldn't be possible to put it on the wrong way.....

I went out with just the phones on so I could get used to the new sounds, but, got the control out cos wasn't sure about a setting, powered it up (phones already on), and I got no coil message for about 10-20 secs, then it came on, maybe if phones are on and swap to control, it "transfers" access to it and delays the display. BTW has anyone noticed that when you change programs, there is an audible "click" from the coil?
