this weeks finds including a hammered

Post by FULLTIMER »

Not much work on so hit the field bigtime this week, gave the new Safari a damn good workout, I think I'am finally getting used to it. mainy buttons and fragments but a few nice pieces and best of all another hammered although I have no idea of age or ruler yet, size of 18mm a/f would suggest a penny, but would appreciate a definate ID from one of the experts on here. now the pictures;

Congratulations, Mark, on achieving such a fine selection of items from your new detector. Love the hammered and just about everything else too. :)
Will I? Won't I? What kind of silly question is that?

unfortunately there was nothing attached to the key ring to send back, would have been a laugh, wonder if they still exist or have the same address might just find an old key and pop it in the post.
Thanks everyone for the comments and especially for the ID of the hammered Edward 11 penny.

Edwards are difficult with no bust evident, the coin could be a I or II I think

depends a lot of size as well

hello there Dirt-fishing, thanks for your comments, there is actually one of the insurance tabs in octobers edition of Treasure hunter, listed as a key ring, so anyone finding the key attached could return them without the need to finding out the address to which they belonged to.........Mark

cheers Jayreef. really appreciate that.It's always nice to actually know what you have found. this is the first hammered I've come across so far in this field but had an Elizabeth 1 sixpence and a Henry 111 cut quarter from the one beside it. .................Mark
