Interesting vid. Ferret,
what mode do you normally run in?Seems like the std. mode has the same bell tones as the Euro and the pro mode is different??Good feature the AT being waterproof too, could have done with that earlier. The AT looks like one to add to my upgrades list..along with the Safari and Etrac..more descisions!!Wht`s the AT like at the seaside with the wet salt sand etc?

regards

Im sure there was a reason that the coil lead should go over instead of under, I may be wrong but I think it was to do with reducing false signals from slight movement in the cable when working in stubble fields.

useful vid ferret. looking forward to getting mine soon.
I think you need to pull your coil cable tighter around the tubing. It looks like it needs to wrap round one more time before plugging in. My Euroace i the same, it takes a bit of faffing around but it will wrap round again.

there is a strong braided earth sheaf which also acts as emc shielding inside the cable that protects the wires and prevents stretching otherwise the cables would fail on the first outing. ;)

The earth sheaf is soldered at each end and the whole cable is clamped inside the plug so you'd have to really wrench the cable to cause any damage . Its made in a similar way as a VGA pc monitor cable

I was advise by somebody who knows more than me that if you look at the coil the cable comes out of the side and is in line with the nut/bolt axis so that if the coil pivots the coil is flexed but not stretched - difficult to explain but if you look from the side with eye on nut bolt axis you will see

So reccomended that wire is located such that it leaves shaft with a little slack but make it so it just bends not stretch.
