Had mine just over a year, very simple just turn on and go but really sensitive, finds small items at a decent depth. It's a single tone machine, the more you use it the more you will understand what the length and crispness of the beep is telling you. Set the discrim between 2 and 4 and you will ignore small iron items. Recovery speed is good, take your time, and be patient and it will find you good stuff. Have found hammies, silver Romans and various artifacts with it, every time i think of upgrading it turns up something nice.

On the beach it is fine on the dry stuff but not so good on the wet.

Good luck, look forward to seeing your finds. ::g

One of the lads on here 'addictedtobeeps' has a YouTube channel with good reviews of c scope machines. Search his name on YouTube, worth watching. Welcome by the way!

Hi there and welcome. I have had a 3mx for 18 months and find it really good, but it does like iron, but i've got used to the signals now and don't dig so much, what i have found is that if you get an 'iffy' signal swinging left to right, i move the the head away and back to me in a cross shape, over the target point, if i don't get a signal it is usually iron. Good luck.
