Got it !!! Met Sharpy tonight not easy conditions the lake floor was matted reeds and silt took ages to get the signal like scooping through a sisal mat fortunately it was only about 3ft from the shore in about 2 feet of water and silt as deeper than this my chest waders sunk about 2feet into soft smelly mud so any further out would have needed my wet suit .You really needed an underwater machine fortunately I took my Surfmaster PI and Excalibur 2 plus a long handled scoop .Thanks to Hammyman who alerted me to the post and to those members who also offered help .And afterwards a nice pint was enjoyed !!

I'm outside Old Trafford and there's a guy burning small effigies of Rooney and selling them to fans. Oh, hang on. It's a baked potato stand.

A MASSIVE thank you to John! :D :D :D :D :D :D
Such a great guy! Worked hard in the mud. An honour to share a well deserved pint with you!

I'm afraid I have too many hobbies already to start another! Otherwise finding the wedding ring would have been a waste of time :))

Thanks so much to everyone else who assisted on here.
