Are Garrett going to come out with something special?

Post by Beany_bot »

Ive been looking at different detectors and have realised the Garretts Flagship range (The GTI range) is pretty seriously dated...
The money you would spend on a GTI 2500 you could get a Minelab Safari.

With garrett bringing out a new Entry (Ace 350) and mid range (ATPro) I'm wondering what they are going to do with the top end detectors. :-/

They surely cant keep selling something that....well no offence to anyone who owns one....but quite frankly looks like something from the 80's! 8-}

I can only imagine they are working on something pretty top class with perhaps brand new technologies as it is taking them sometime to bring it out.

What you guys think? I think with the amount of time they are (i assume) spending on it I think it or they are going to be something pretty special. At the end of the day its going to HAVE to rival if not better the current top end Machine like the Deus and the eTrac etc.

Thoughts? :-/

I like Garretts, I hope its something really special. 8-}

Hiya I've got an ace 250 this is what they say no good on the beach horrible bell sound looks like a toy to heavy no volume control well I think its great firstly because of no permissions I've done nothing but beaches and once you get the settings right I've dug very small items up in dry and wet sand to 8"also looks like a toy what cos its got yellow on it they paint ferraris yellow some toy I've come to the conclusion metal detecting is like fishing don't just pull up andfish in the first spot you find research give yourself the best chance you can I know one day ill get permissions and ill find gold you'll see and it'll be with a garrett

Think I'd agree there cockneyred. If there is something to be found then a Garrett is as likely to find it as anything else. It is technique, research and luck, more than the kit that will be your best chance at finding something.

Hope Mrix will be adding another link in the Garrett detectors menu in due course when someone does a review of an Ace 350. Wonder what's "under the bonnet"? :-w
